We took an expected break from the blog last week when we had to leave town quickly to beat all of the snow. Thankfully we did and spent a great week with our family and friends in Michigan. Now I’m trying to figure out where all of this stuff is going to go!

This book is really fascinating. At the Kandinsky exhibit at the Guggenheim, they have a whole little side room of drawings he did by layering pigment with an atomizer pretty much just like these illustrations, only all abstract layered geometric shapes with ghostly outlines. I had no idea such a technique existed, and now I really want to try it.
thanks! that exhibition sounds awesome. I want to try this too and so wishing I had just bought the book. I was feeling too overspent at that moment to buy for myself!
